CA Health Data Project

Building a Bridge to Local Communities with California’s Health Data

The California Health Data Project is a statewide effort funded by the California HealthCare Foundation’s Free the Data initiative.

Unlocking Value from Open Data

There’s a vast amount of health and health care data collected by the State of California and now there’s a new effort to get these data to the people and organizations that can use them. The project is bringing together the California Health and Human Services Agency (CHHS), local governments, and, most importantly, the community — providers, civic hackers, advocacy groups — to ensure this valuable information is finding its way into the hands of people and organizations that can put it to good use.
